a tour de force
— Nancy Greening
David Glover stands out...on par with Ryszard Cieslak , Grotowski’s favorite martyr.
— Joshua Crone
In the Penal Colony ...is a play that sinks in to your skin and stays there.
— Max Berry, Contributing Critic - New York City
I’ve rarely seen actors so invested in a play, or a play that demands so much of its actors.

about

David Glover

David Glover is a Barrymore award winning actor, poet, playwright and director from Philadelphia. He is deeply interested in stories that disrupt our expectations, challenge our desensitizations and press at the potent roots of trauma and healing. He is intrigued by art involving the surreal and metaphysical. His artistic body of work centers identity, history, and home with a focus on the complexities of Black life, love and liberation.

His debut book of poetry, Beneath My Body Armor, is now available at Amazon, Barnes&Noble & Bookshop.org and direct from the author. If interested in a signed copy DM him @sirdavidlawrenceglover.

He likes his humor like he likes his wine; dark and dry. He loves to read novels, watch foreign language films and dance. He is a gemini who finds balance within a soul that is equal parts dare-devil and hermit.
